Ibanez is known worldwide for its first-class shredding guitars, but it also understands the art of building acoustic guitars that are specially tailored to the needs of electric guitarists—such as the AEWC series. Inspired by the fast playability and modern look of an electric guitar, the AEWC is a sleek, contemporary acoustic guitar that shredders can embrace without having to adjust. The Nyatoh Comfort Grip neck provides excellent playability, while the rosewood fingerboard delivers a balanced tone with focused mids. The quilted maple art grain top made of basswood captivates with its attractive grain, complemented by a sapele back and sides that offer a warm, full-bodied midrange and clear brilliance. Sound transmission is provided by an Ibanez undersaddle pickup that accurately reproduces the natural sound of the guitar. The AEQ-2T preamp allows for precise adjustments to the bass and treble and features a built-in tuner that works even without a cable plugged in. The instrument is rounded off by a rosewood top-loading bridge, which allows for quick and easy string changes without bridge pins.
