First introduced in the early 1980s, the Ibanez AM is a compact semi-hollow body guitar that offers a warm, assertive tone and plenty of sustain. Despite its smaller size, players who otherwise prefer solid body guitars will immediately feel at home with this popular Artcore model. The Artstar series combines the parallel history of jazz with the hollow-body electric guitar in professional craftsmanship. Clear influences from these legendary instruments can be seen in details such as the bone saddle, ebony fingerboard, and Ibanez's signature Super 58 Custom pickups. Even critical eyes will be impressed by the high-quality workmanship: the smooth fretboard surface and precise fretting are of a quality usually found on instruments that often cost twice as much. The Artstar thus embodies both the classic jazz box heritage and the ongoing evolution of the genre.
