The RG is equipped with a Wizard 5-piece neck made of maple and wenge, which is thin, flat, and fast, yet robust and stable—ideal for demanding players. The rosewood fingerboard delivers a balanced, full tone with clearly defined mids. Jumbo frets with Prestige Fret Edge Treatment ensure fast response, precise articulation, and an effortless playing feel. The basswood body offers natural, balanced tone development. The guitar's sound is impressive thanks to the Fusion Edge pickups, developed in close collaboration with DiMarzio®, which deliver powerful, clear sound with assertive highs and tight bass – without overlaying the mid frequencies. Gotoh® tuners ensure excellent tuning stability, while the legendary Lo-Pro Edge tremolo bridge with a streamlined profile and recessed fine tuners guarantees maximum playing comfort and reliable tuning stability. Special features such as the 27-inch scale length expand the playing possibilities and offer more string tension for more precise articulation at low notes. The package is rounded off by a sturdy Ibanez hardshell case that reliably protects the instrument.
