The MEINL Byzance Foundry Reserve collection is a limited selection of cymbals that showcases the stunning, sonically rich works of art that our cymbalsmiths create with layers of tonality and nuance; however, that is only half of the beauty, as they are visually striking from the one-of-a-kind hand-hammered marks. The extra hammering creates many deep craters across the surface. When this hammering is coupled with the fully lathed top and bottom, it produces a clear, dry stick-attack note over a lush bed of low undertones – otherwise known as “the roar.”

Medium-thin weight ride features a dry stick attack followed by a complex character in dark wash. Provides strong stick definition yet is thin enough to open for thunderous crashes too.

The Pure Alloy Extra Hammered Crash-Ride is a cymbal you can be confident in, and when taken on a gig, it will function however you need. As a crash, it opens easily with a warm voice and medium sustain allowing it to be used in any musical application. As a ride, it features great separation between the stick definition on top and the warm wash underneath, and the bell is clear and pronounced providing plenty of cut when needed. This is a cymbal that any working drummer would benefit from having in their cymbal bag.
