Standard Long sticks are made with the same specs as our Standard models but with an extra half-inch of reach. The additional stick length provides a balanced feel and response. Drummers need consistency in their sticks, which is why we developed a very narrow weight range and density for each model. Whenever you pick up your favorite pair, they will always feel the same.

For her powerful playing, Kriss chose a 5B diameter American Hickory drumstick with an Acorn tip and medium taper. The extra 0.5" length provides a balanced feel and response that she needs. The combination of these specifications results in a very durable, fast, and powerful drumstick.

Jay Postones and Meinl Stick & Brush built these sticks for speed, control, and power. Jay’s subtle refinements make a big impact; you’ll feel the difference. The 16.5" length adds extra reach, while the short 2.78" taper keeps precision tight and gives the stick a slightly weighted throw. A standard 0.565” grip ensures easy maneuverability. Jay also chose a round tip to dial-up clarity on all surfaces. Made from premium American hickory in a medium-light weight, they balance effortless movement with a solid, responsive feel.
